NYC Banking Commission Puts The Squeeze On Capital One Bank Over Discrimination Policy

NYC, a leading liberal city, punishes certain banks, like Capital One, for failing to meet specific requirements. Still, there's an undertone of politics involved.

New York, NY: The Banking Commission of New York City recently took aggressive action against banking giants Capital One and KeyBank to punish them for failing to submit anti-discrimination plans to the city.

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander announced that the commission voted to "halt NYC's deposits" at the two banks.

But it is New York City.

New York City has long been known for its liberal leanings, embracing progressive policies that have shaped the city's social and political landscape. However, this liberal dominance raises concerns about the city's direction and impact on conservative values.

The overwhelming liberal influence in New York City has resulted in policies prioritizing progressive agendas over common-sense principles. From excessive regulations and high taxes to an environment that stifles individual freedom and personal responsibility, the city has become a breeding ground for government overreach and excessive intervention in people's lives.

A more balanced approach, embracing conservative values and promoting individual liberties, would foster a healthier and more prosperous future for all New Yorkers.

Candace Owens

It was reported that Capital One Bank once hired famed conservative Candace Owens to provide financial training to its employees. Owens has an educational background in finance but is more known for her political stance.

She is a conservative political commentator, author, and activist known for her outspoken views on identity politics, conservatism, and social issues. She has gained significant national attention for promoting conservative principles and challenging liberal narratives. And she has a strong following on virtually every social media platform.

It is unconfirmed, but many believe the New York Banking Commission was motivated to punish Capital One for its previous dealings with Owens.

But Lander stated it was purely related to their requirements.

"Banks seeking to do business with New York City must demonstrate that they will be responsible managers of public funds and responsible actors in our communities," said Comptroller Brad Lander. "Unfortunately, despite several opportunities to do so, five banks failed to comply with the New York City Banking Commission's designation process – leaving us to conclude that they are not taking meaningful actions to combat discrimination in their operations and are not responsible stewards of public dollars."

Although there is no direct proof that the NY Banking Commission's decisions were politically motivated, it is difficult to shake the feeling that it was.

But if you are conservative and this is enough to support Capital One Bank, we have more good news for you.

We will soon be launching an “alternatives” option. We not only want to help you avoid certain businesses by writing about which companies have "gone woke," we want to take it a step further. We’ll provide you with alternatives to these organizations by offering comparable options.

Capital One is the closest thing to a non-woke large bank that exists.
